FRESH from his Western Australia tour, singer/ songwriter Lior will stop over in Newcastle on Friday night for a performance at Salarium at Morrow Park Bowling Club. The Sydney acoustic roots-style artist (pictured at left) is riding high on the success of his debut album Autumn Flow which has finally cracked the national charts after being released last year.

Support from Triple J has been strong, too, with the album's first single, This Old Love, featured in the station's annual Triple J Hottest 100 poll.

Driven by sweet lyrics and a Middle Eastern influence, his fanbase is obviously growing with news that his album recently climbed into the top 20 of the ARIA's album charts.

It is quite an achievement for Lior, who recorded and funded the entire album independently with Melbourne-based producer Franc Tetaz. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are available at the door.
