FOR close to 20 years The Choirboys have been touring, recording and releasing records.
In that time the band has performed at more than 1000 venues and to hundreds of thousands of fans across Australia.
It all began on Sydney's northern beaches in the early '80s and, two decades later, the band's two original members Mark Gable (vocals) and Ian Hulme (bass) are still rocking on.
Gable and Hulme are now joined by drummer Paul Wheeler . They will perform at Cardiff Panthers on March 12 as part of their latest tour.
With six albums to its credit, the band's biggest-selling album to date is the double- platinum Big Bad Noise which spawned the favourites Run To Paradise and Boys Will Be Boys. The Choirboys carved a reputation as one of Australia's premier live rock bands and little has changed as the boys' passion, energy and excitement continues to be strong.
The Choirboys made a big return in 2003 when the band embarked on the national Great Pub Rock Tour, performing 160 dates before finishing in June last year.
In May last year The Choirboys signed to Shock Records and released a new album titled Evolver .
The Choirboys hit the road again in January with plans to perform across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Canada.
Fans can also expect some new material from the boys after they recently began writing and recording for their next album.
