THIS week is the last chance budding musicians have to enter this year's 1233 ABC Newcastle Music Awards. The deadline for submissions is this Friday. To enter, all you need to do is complete an entry kit, record your music on CD and send it in to the 1233 ABC Newcastle studios.
By entering, artists have the opportunity to be in the running to record an EP with bf ABC Music.nf Entrants also have the chance to have their track played on air across several ABC radio networks, perform live to air in the studio and be interviewed by ABC presenters.
A steady stream of submissions has flowed into the ABC since entries opened in early May. One of the first entries in this year's rock category was received from Newcastle- based act bf The Humm.nf The Humm, which features former bf Little Hornet nf member bf Ty Penshorn, nf has already enjoyed success with the band's new material. In addition to being added to the 1233 ABC Newcastle play list, The Humm has also had coverage on nationwide programs if Take 40 Australia, Planet Rock nf and if Rage.nf Stayed tuned to 1233 ABC Newcastle for the announcement of this year's judging panel in coming weeks.
