NEWCASTLE will host a special performance from The Finn Brothers as part of their upcoming Australian tour.
It will be the only regional date of the tour when it appears at Newcastle Civic Theatre on Sunday, July 17.
Taking in venues around Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, the tour may also include extra dates to meet demand.
When Neil and Tim Finn first toured Australia as The Finn Brothers in November last year they were very well received.
The first Sydney concert sold out within 20 minutes and the tour went on to sell out three Sydney and two Melbourne shows. Fans were treated to a superb collection of songs from their new album Everyone Is Here as well as classics from their days in Spilt Enz and Crowded House. Joining The Finn Brothers on this tour is harmonious pop outfit Mercury Rev. Springing from Buffalo in the late '80s, Mercury Rev has released a string of critically acclaimed albums including their latest, The Secret Migration. Both acts will perform at this year's Splendour in the Grass festival at Byron Bay in late July.
Tickets to the show are on sale now and bookings can be made by calling Ticketek on 4929 1977 or online at www.ticketek.com.au
