TRUE BLUE TREAT FOR AUDIENCES BEFORE Australia Day rolls around later this month, CARDIFF PANTHERS will host THE COOEE AUSSIE SHOW, The show brings together all the ingredients to present a top Australian- themed presentation with traditional Aboriginal dancers and music from colonial times.
Starring in the show are AUBREY AND MARTIN, who combine to create one of the most versatile acts on the Australian club circuit.
The multi- MO AWARD winning duo has established a strong reputation nationally with its entertaining cabaret show.
Both share plenty of experience gained from roles in theatre restaurant shows such as Medieval Madness and High Mountain Hoedown .
Aubrey and Martin also spent three years starring in The Jolly Swagman Show at Sydney's ARGYLE TAVERN, which led them to represent Australia during Australia Week celebrations in the United States. The Cooee Aussie Show also stars vocalist JUDY ANNE BARNES. This seasoned performer has been everywhere from Singapore and Hong Kong to Christchurch and Tamworth. , Barnes is a seasoned performer. She has worked extensively in Australia and New Zealand, singing with the NEW ZEALAND ARMY BAND for three years and with THE NEW ZEALAND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA. Barnes came to if prominence when she was voted Top Female Vocalist at the GOLDEN GUITAR AWARDS. In 1987 Barnes performed in Tamworth with WAYNE HORSBURGH in LOVE THAT COUNTRY MUSIC which was hailed the most professional show at the AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL. She also has a long list of television, theatre and recording credits. The Cooee Aussie Show will appear at Cardiff Panthers on Friday. Doors open at 12.45pm and the show starts at 1.30pm.
