ADAM Scicluna was again nominated at this year's Australian Club Entertainment Awards after he was awarded Male Vocal Performer of the Year at the 2004 ACE Awards.
Scicluna received a nomination for Male Vocal Performer of the Year and the much coveted Australian Club Entertainer of the Year.
Although Scicluna did not take out either of the awards, he felt privileged to be recognised.
It added to what has been a memorable year for Scicluna who released the album Curtain Call and met with one of his idols, Neil Sedaka, during his recent Australian tour.
Curtain Call is a compilation of Scicluna's two distinct lives as a performer on the musical theatre stage and in variety cabaret.
It includes classic musical theatre songs from roles Scicluna has created on stage such as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar and Javert in Les Miserables , and songs that he has become renowned for on the variety circuit such as Mr Bojangles, The Hungry Years and Nessun Dorma. Scicluna has been described as a ``consummate professional in every aspect of his work'' and as a cross between Pavarotti, Sammy Davis jnr, Robbie Williams and Jackie Gleeson.

His career began in the world of concert work, particularly in the field of opera.In the past Scicluna has performed at many events in Sydney and his one-man cabaret show, A Lyrical Life, was a sell-out at Riverside Theatre in 2001.These days Scicluna is in high demand on the club and corporate entertainment scenes. He will perform at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club on December 28 from 11am, with vocalist Emma Pratt .
