Finger-picking Guitar Finish To Live Sites

NEWCASTLE Live Sites' final instalment of Sounds on Sunday for this year will be held at Harbour Square this weekend.

Performing will be two-time 1233 ABC Newcastle Music Award winner Anousha Victoire. Her live set combines her trademark folk- and jazz-influenced finger-picking guitar style, striking lyrics and haunting vocal melodies.

Peppering her show with anecdotes and social commentary, she has won over audiences not only in Newcastle but at events such as the National Folk Festival and Wollombi Festival. Performing on several ABC and community radio stations and at many anti-war and women's events, she has shared the stage with the likes of Ember Swift, Penelope Swales and Angie Hart. Phil Tweed will also perform. It runs from 3pm to 6pm and entry is free.
