TWO successful Newcastle performers, Vince Martinelli and Rita Scott , combine to form the duo Martinelli-Scott .
The duo has been described as a ``uniquely dynamic and versatile entertainment package'', performing everything from easy-listening to upbeat tunes.
Martinelli, who shares the vocal responsibilities with Scott, is well known and respected for his guitar skills.
He has studied guitar on scholarship at the prestigious Centro Romano della Gitarra in Italy and holds a masters degree in music.
He has performed all over the world and exclusively in concert aboard luxury cruise lines including Cunard, Oceania and Silversea.
During his travels he has performed in master classes with world-renowned guitarists like John Williams , Stephan Rak and Alirio Diaz and shared the stage with Jon English , Marcia Hines and Shirley Bassey .
Scott, who not only sings but also plays percussion and saxophone, is in constant demand for session work in radio, film and television.
She has an impressive list of credits, having performed with jazz great Chick Corea , The Rockmelons , Jackie Love and Australian rock giants INXS .
Martinelli and Scott originally performed under the name Wine and Roses but have since updated their name, image and repertoire.
But punters can still expect to hear the pair perform the music they love, which covers all styles from jazz and pop to classical and contemporary.
The duo will play at the South Newcastle Leagues Club on Saturday september 3 .
