Grooving With Phonic Boom

Who: Phonic
Where: Delany Hotel
When: Friday April 8, 2005

WITH a combination of energetic youth and experience, Phonic has quickly gained a reputation as an exceptional live act.

The Phonic repertoire boasts plenty of variety and caters for a broad range of musical tastes.

From Robbie Williams and The Jackson 5 to James Brown and Aretha Franklin, Phonic guarantee to have you grooving on the dance floor.

Phonic is fronted by vocalist Alisha Mitchell, a graduate of the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music contemporary vocal course who brings plenty of soul to the group.

She is joined by an equally talented group of backing musicians featuring guitarist and vocalist James Wyatt, drummer Adam Manning, bassist Zac Isaacs and multi- instrumentalist Jason Bone , who masters both saxophone and guitar.

All have plenty of experience playing in a variety of popular Newcastle-based cover bands.

Catch Phonic live at the Delany Hotel on Friday night and Belmont 16ft Sailing Club on Saturday night.

Entry to both shows is free.
