NOW that his role as the Breakfast Show presenter on Triple J is behind him, Wil Anderson has come full circle and returned to life as a stand-up comic.
As a stand-up comedian, Anderson has proved quite prolific, generating new, sharply written shows every year since 1997.
Last year's Licence to Wil tour was a huge success and attracted glowing reviews with The Melbourne Age describing Anderson as ``...fast-paced, energetic, informative, entertaining and hilarious ... a must see''.
With his work on Triple J work now a thing of the past, Anderson has more time on his hands and has embarked on a national tour, cheekily titled Kill Wil. From Kalgoorlie to Cairns, the Kill Wil tour will take Anderson to every major capital city and plenty of places in between.
Following two sold-out shows alongside Triple J host Adam Spencer in Newcastle late last year, Anderson will perform at Civic Theatre Newcastle on Saturday, July 2.
The show itself will be the usual mix of up to the minute chat on pop, politics and anything else that finds its way into Anderson's head.
