THANKS to Splendour In the Grass, the end of summer does not spell the end of the music festival season.
Splendour In the Grass will return to Belongil Fields at Byron Bay on July 23 and 24 and, once again, organisers are bringing a stellar cast of local and international talent to the stage.
The first six acts have been announced and another round of bands and DJs will follow.
International guests this year include rockers Queens Of The Stone Age, electronic music maestro Moby, enigmatic New York outfit Interpol and popular UK act Bloc Party. Stunning Australian singer/songwriter Sarah Blasko will perform at the festival for the second time, while New Zealand rockers Shihad will make a long-awaited return.
Since the Splendour In the Grass debut in 2001, each event has sold out in advance.
Punters should get in quick when event and camping tickets go on sale Monday, May 9.
