AUSTRALIAN country music favourite TROY CASSAR-DALEY returned last week with the release of his latest album, Borrowed and Blue.
To celebrate the release, Cassar-Daley will head out on the road for a national tour in May. He will start the tour at Shellharbour on May 5 and work his way up to HEXHAM BOWLING CLUB on May 13.
Borrowed and Blue features Cassar-Daley performing his interpretation of other people's songs.
``I think every artist wants to do an album like this one,'' Cassar-Daley said.
``But you have to feel comfortable in your musical skin before you do. I have never been happier with my music, so it felt like a very natural thing to do.'' It marks Cassar-Daley's fifth studio album release and features 14 tracks running from the traditional to the contemporary.
Produced by NASH CHAMBERS and recorded by JEFF MCCORMACK, Borrowed And Blue saw CassarDaley team up with a host of collaborators including IAN MOSS, DON WALKER, ANNE KIRKPATRICK, KASEY CHAMBERS, and PAUL KELLY. ``This record will go down as a documentation of my love of music and all it has given me,'' Cassar-Daley said.
``All my life I have loved country music. The industry to me is taking a great path and real- deal artists are the ones breaking through, which makes me very happy. This collection stems from my very early childhood to the present day.'' Cassar-Daley plays at Hexham Bowling Club on May 13 and bookings can be made on 4964 8079.
