BURWOOD COLLIERY BOWLING CLUB will present the second instalment of A DAY ON THE GRASS this weekend.

The event made its debut in September and attracted more than 2000 people throughout the day who enjoyed an afternoon of blues music.

When A Day On the Grass returns on Saturday it will feature many of the same attractions in a family- friendly environment overlooking Dudley Beach.

The event will be headlined by premiere blues act JOHNNY GREEN AND THE BLUES COWBOYS who deliver a mix of blues, rock and country styles.

Johnny Green and The Blues Cowboys will be joined by blues act CHILLIN' ROOM who will reform especially for this weekend's event.

CHILLIN' ROOM frontman DAVE GARDNER said the band was looking forward to performing its mix of blues and rock again.

``We play a mixture of originals and covers,'' Gardner said.

``We have a strong rhythm section and outstanding harmonica player and lead vocalist.

I still think we have the record for pulling the biggest crowds at the Star Hotel.

'' Also on the bill is local act KAMIKAZE KOWBOYS which features former members of the SCREAMING JETS and local up-and- coming vocal group MISS-B-HAVE .

As well as music, A Day On the Green will feature children's attractions including a ferris wheel, merry-go-round and a jumping castle.

There will also be refreshments available from the club's bistro.

Entry is $5 or free for children under 13.
