FOLLOWING the trail of the hot new country-rock craze, Newcastle has discovered its very own band which serves up all of your favourite hits.
SLIM JIM & THE CITY SLICKERS consists of three well-known artists from the Newcastle music scene, including BOB and CHRIS HANLEY from one of Newcastle's most popular duos, RICH & FAMOUS .
Bob Hanley fronts Slim Jim & the City Slickers on guitar, with Chris Hanley on keyboards.
Both share vocal duties and complete the line up with STEVE HILDA who also provides vocals and plays keyboard.
Like the Hanleys, Hilda has performed in a number of bands throughout his career and together the trio shares a combined experience of more than 40 years.
With the emphasis on entertainment, audience participation is encouraged and the band is known to have line-dancers on the floor during their performance.
Catch Slim Jim & the City Slickers live at MAYFIELD EX-SERVICES CLUB on Sunday from 7pm.
