HEART & SOUL combines the talents of vocalists CAROL SNAPE and MIKE TAYLOR to create a powerful duo.
Snape is renowned for her vocal style, which successfully allows her to perform an extensive and diverse repertoire of tunes from the 1950s through to today.
Well known for her work in the local music scene, Snape comes from a musical background and is the sister of sibling trio The Snape Bros, whom she has shared the stage with on numerous occasions.
Snape has held residencies at many major venues around the Hunter Region and has picked up several talent quest awards at the TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL .
Joining Snape is Taylor, an entertainer who has 32 years of experience as a rock, country and blues musician.
Born and raised in Newcastle, Taylor gained his start playing in bands during high school.
Originally set to become a drummer, Taylor was forced to take position up front as the singer when he discovered that the band he joined already had a drummer.
Taylor was the frontman in local band MAYA during the 1960s and 1970s, during which time he supported the likes of THE BEACH BOYS, GARY GLITTER and OSABISA .
Maya also supported some of Australia's biggest acts including SHERBERT, DADDY COOL, JEFF ST JOHN, THE LA DE DAS, RENEE GEYER and BRIAN CADD.
After splitting from Maya, Taylor became the lead singer of popular Newcastle band HARLEQUIN.
Taylor has also performed in acts such as THE QUESTIONS and TAXI.
Heart & Soul deliver a show filled with classic hits including Love Is All Around, Unchained Melody, Friday on my Mind, Wind Beneath My Wings and When You Say Nothing At All.
