Rubix Cuba will launch With Beauty during a free show at the NORTHERN STAR HOTEL on Friday night.
As well as writing and recording the EP, much of the band's time has been spent touring.
`The past few months have been hectic, seeing the band travel to Cobar to play the Waxed Festival, road trips to Sydney and Canberra for shows with THE PORKERS ,'' NICK CUBA said.
``After the EP launches this week, the band heads north to Queensland for a mini-tour including dates at the i amous TROCCADERO on the Gold Coast.
'' With Beauty features The Pie Song and two demos from the band's latest recording session.
Cuba said the EP demonstrated a progression in the band's sound.
`The single includes the pop hooks of The Pie Song , preppie-punk in LGFB and even skemo, which is a tongue-in-cheek combination of ska and emo, on the track Imogen .
''Rubix Cuba's track No or Never, taken from With Love, received national, local and community airplay and the band hopes to achieve the same with The Pie Song .
On Saturday, Rubix Cuba will present an all- ages launch at the PALAIS ROYALE YOUTH VENUE and make an in-store appearance at SOUND WORLD in Hunter Street Mall from 1pm.
