It sounds too good to be true and in some respects
it is. But country music fans will no doubt be eager to see two of the Hunter Region's most popular country music stars as they pay tribute to two of country's legends. Starring Donella Plane and Bruce McCumstie, The Dolly Parton Tribute Show came into fruition last year during the 2002 Tamworth Country Music Festival. During her portrayal of Parton in the Luv Ya, Willie Show, Plane found that it was such a hit with the audiences that she should put together her own show. The result is The Dolly Parton Tribute Show. Although Plane only gave two performances of the show during the festival, it was one of the biggest attractions and is now being toured to fans all over the state. Performing a variety of Parton's classics such as 9 to 5, Coat of Many Colours, Potential New Boyfriend and My Tennessee Mountain Home, the show is a treat for any fan. The Dolly Parton Tribute Show will appear at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club for one show only on March 29 from 8.30pm. Plane will be supported by McCumstie in his portrayal of Willie Nelson. Tickets are $10 and are on sale from the club on 4945-0888.
