ON the back of the successful LONG WAY TO THE TOP tour, Australian star BRIAN CADD will storm back into Newcastle.
Cadd was last in town when he performed during the Long Way to the Top 2002 tour which played to sell-out audiences across Australia.
He also returned for the scaled-down version of the tour in 2003 and was one of many legendary Australian artists who starred in the nationwide spectacular.
Cadd's work with group AXIOM was featured in Long Way To The Top and saw Cadd reunite with former member GLENN SHORROCK.
Cadd penned all of the band's hits before it broke up in 1969.
He has branched out a number of areas and has worked as a successful producer, scored films and produced music for advertising and television.
Between 1973 and 1975, Cadd was one of the 12 directors of APRA and has recently accepted the post as President of the Australian Music Foundation.
He is also Chairperson of the AUSMUSIC INDUSTRY ADVISORY BOARD and lectures at Universities around Australia on the Business of Music.
As a songwriter, Cadd has penned many of hs own hits as well as tunes for JOE COCKER, RINGO STARR, JOHN FARNHAM, THE POINTER SISTERS, BONNIE TYLER and GENE PITNEY.
Brian Cadd will perform at WESTS LEAGUES CLUB on July 31 and be supported by multi instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter BFCLARE O'MEARA.
NFIn the past decade, O'Meara has toured, recorded and performed at every major Australian music festival and shared the stage with the likes of LEE KERNAGHAN, SARA STORER, GINA JEFFREYS, SLIM DUSTY and TANIA KERNAGHAN.
She is also a member of the BUSHWACKERS and recently returned from a tour of China with JAMES BLUNDELL.
