UK BREAKBEAT pioneers SOUL OF MAN will return to Newcastle next week for the second time in six months.
The pair performed at the GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL last week and will perform at NUTSHELL BREAKS on July 9.
``We're very excited about coming back,'' JEM PANUFNIK said.
``We're particularly excited about Newcastle because that was the last gig on the last tour and it was great fun.
'' Soul of Man is the DJ and production team of JUSTIN RUSHMORE and Panufnik, who also head breakbeat label FINGER LICKIN' RECORDS.
The label is home to some of the biggest names in breakbeat including PLUMP DJS, DRUMMATIC TWINS, KRAFTY KUTS and LEE COOMBS.
Since performing a sell out show at Nutshell in January, Soul of Man has been tucked away in the studio crafting tracks for a series of new releases.
``We're recording at the moment and we've just finished our single which is very typical Soul of Man - tribally, funky dancefloor mayhem.
'' The single will be released this month and followed by an album in early 2004.
In the meantime, fans can hear new material during the pair's Australian tour.
``We've got some super exclusives for this tour.
We've got some Plump DJs stuff and other bits and pieces that you won't have heard yet.
``There will be lots of brand spanking new and hot-off-the-press bits for you.
'' ``The last Nutshell was really enjoyable.
All the others DJs were fantastic and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
'' Nutshell Breaks will be held at STAR NEWCASTLE on June 9 from 9pm with WILL STYLES, LEARNED HAND, AUXILARY, KATO and FALLON.
Pre sale ticket are $15 from PDMS, RAMJET, ABICUS and Star or $20 on the door.
