SINCE it kicked off a residency at the BEACH HOTEL last month, local blues fusion act MOJO LIBERATION FRONT has attracted growing crowds to the Merewether hotel.
The band performed a one-off gig at the hotel earlier last month and was such a hit that it was asked to return for a five-week residency.
``We were told that it has had the biggest crowds on a Thursday night for ages,'' drummer REUBEN said.
``We've got a really good mix of people coming to the shows some from our other gigs and also people from the Beaches who have come back to see us.
'' The band was formed after an impromptu gig late last year and have since performed regularly at venues including the Beaches, NORTHERN STAR HOTEL and LASS O'GOWRIE.
The six-piece describes its sound as a ``a hybrid mix of roots styles'' that create a fresh sound.
It performs mostly original tunes with the addition of Hammond organ.
