THE Hunter region is expected to become a focus point for former AUSTRALIAN CRAWL frontman JAMES REYNE in the coming months.
Reyne will present a four-date tour this month and return on October 4 to support the BEACH BOYS at A DAY ON THE GREEN to celebrate the opening of the HUNTER VALLEY GARDENS .
The tour will celebrate the release of Reyne's new 36-track album Definitive Collection.
Reyne will perform the album's highlights including Downhearted, Beautiful People, Reckless, White Limbo, Boys Light Up and Unpublished Critics.
Fans will also have the chance to see Reyne in unplugged mode as he leads a three-piece semi- acoustic set.
lw-2 From his days in Australian Crawl through to his solo career, JAMES REYNE has penned a swag of classic songs and has maintained an enviable reputation as a crowd-pleasing performer.
Australian Crawl shot to fame in the early 1980s and saw each one of its albums achieved Top 5 status.
The band also picked up COUNTDOWN MUSIC awards for Best Band and Best Male Vocal for three consecutive years.
Following the band's split in 1986, Reyne released his debut solo album which went triple platinum and included the hits Fall of Rome, Hammerhead and Motor's Too Fast .
He later released the albums Hard Reyne, Electric Digger Dandy and The Whiff Of Bedlam .
In 1992, he collaborated with JAMES BLUNDELL and released the hit single Way Out West and he also found success with COMPANY OF STRANGERS which featured DARYL BRAITHWAITE, JEFF SCOTT and SIMON HUSSEY .
