Who: Dave Burke, Debbie Sinclair
Where: Belmont 16ft Sailing Club
When: Wednesday September 11, 2002

YORKSHIRE-born comic DAVE BURKE has been having a laugh for much of his life.

At 17, he began his career on stage playing saxophone and clarinet in a pop band.

But the urge to showcase his talents as a comic was always there and after a stint in a rugby team and working in the RAF, Burke followed his dreams.

After tickling the funny bone of many Brits, Burke relocated to Australia to try his luck with Aussie audiences.

Now based in Sydney, Burke has been adopted by Australian audiences and is regarded as one of the country's favourite funnymen.

During his time in Australia, Burke has appeared from coast to coast in theatres, hotels, clubs and on television.

One critic even went as far to say 'If laughter is the best medicine in the world, then Dave Burke is a walking Panadol.'

Burke will perform at BELMONT 16FT SAILING CLUB from 11am today.

Entry to the show is free.

Burke will be supported by vocalist DEBBIE SINCLAIR.
