Across The Night: The Creation of Diorama

Who: Silverchair
What: Across The Night

Eleven/Virgin SILVERCHAIR'S latest album, Diorama, was such a labour of love that it is worthy of thorough documentation.

This new DVD takes an in-depth look at the creation of Diorama, an album which saw the Merewether trio introduce plenty of musical experimentation to its sound.

Across The Night: The Creation of Diorama is a dream come true for any Silverchair fan, boasting a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the album from the beginning.

Running at 53 minutes, the film features plenty of interviews with each member of the band, mainly focusing on the creative writing process of Daniel Johns.

From rehearsals in the PAN Building, in Auckland St, to mixing in the studio in Los Angeles, the film does enough to take the viewer on an involved journey with the band.

The DVD is a real eye-opener as to how much time and effort went into Diorama.

Included is footage of Silverchair's performance at this year's BIG DAY OUT, as well as many of BEN GILLIES' forgettable attempts at table tennis.

Extras include a photo gallery, discography and videos for The Greatest View, Luv Your Life and Without You.
