NEWCASTLE'S newest, and possibly only, rockabilly band will headline a gig at Wickham Park Hotel on Saturday night.
The Torpedo's perform a unique blend of rockabilly and swing standards which the band says tend to get most people moving on the dance floor.
As well as performing the occasional gig at the Lass O'Gowrie, Northern Star and Wickham Park, The Torpedo's have also been honing their skills busking on Beaumont Street.
Also performing on Saturday night is Favours For Each Other. The band will unveil new material discussing anything from dirty air and heartbreak to poodle grooming techniques for the modern man.
A group of interpretive dancers will also join the band on stage.
Opening the evening is the offensive, but amusing, punk vixens known as Bitchcraft. Entry to the gig is free and will kick off at 9pm.
