IF you have checked out the live scene in Newcastle, there is a good chance you have seen Sue Carson perform.
Carson has been an integral part of the Newcastle music scene for several years and has worked in a number of duos and bands.
The Sue Carson Duo is one of the many projects Carson is involved in.
Made up of Carson and guitarist Michael Stove, the duo has worked together on a number of occasions including a stint in the band Love That Hat. The pair also performs in Celtic rock act Killkenny. As well as working with others, Carson is a captivating solo artist.
Her stunning vocal style enables her to belt out any kind of musical style, rock, folk or Celtic.
Carson has also worked in opera, theatre and musicals and plays a number of instruments including violin, mandolin and guitar.
This weekend, Carson will perform in the Sue Carson Duo at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club's Jazz on the Promenade.
Her musical partner Stove has also been an important part in the growth of live music in Newcastle.
As well as performing in Love That Hat, he is recognised for his work in Hussy. Carson and Stove perform a fusion of soft rock numbers combined with more upbeat tracks.
Artists covered by the duo include Jewel, Shania Twain, The Corrs and Kate Bush. The Sue Carson Duo will perform at the Promenade from 2pm to 5.30pm on Saturday.
