IF you are yet to check out Jazz on the Shondell Promenade at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club you can get a taste of it on Saturday afternoon.

Held weekly, the show has featured big names from the Hunter entertainment circuit.

And a number of top entertainers are coming up.

This weekend, jazz sensations Makin' Whoopee will perform from 2pm to 5.30pm.

The three-piece jazz band is renowned in the region, being fronted by the mesmerising Renee Berger. Incorporating a cheeky and charming style of jazz, Makin' Whoopee performs a variety of different jazz styles ranging from Swing to Latin.

The band is also known to throw in the odd blues, soul and rock'n'roll style track that are guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet.

Joining Berger on stage is Damien Watson on guitars and pianist Phil Tweed. Upcoming jazz artists performing on the promenade include the Sue Carson Duo on January 26.
