What: Diamond: The Ultimate Tribute
Where: Belmont 16ft Sailing Club
When: Wednesday October 17, 2001

THIS show has been named as the ultimate tribute to Neil Diamond and is rated number one throughout the UK and Europe.

Al James is the star of Diamond: The Ultimate Tribute and as well as sharing an uncanny likeness with the star, James also has the distinct Neil Diamond sound.

James is heading to Australia direct from the UK and will bring his show to Belmont 16ft Sailing Club on October 17.

During the show James explores the career of Neil Diamond and performs more than 30 years of hits including Kentucky Woman, Shilo, Crunchy Granola, Solitary Man and Sweet Caroline. Like Diamond, James lived the life of a pop star during his time as the lead singer of UK '60s group The Honeycombs who had a hit with Have I The Right in 1964.

Throughout his career James has performed on major British and European television programs Top of the Pops and Radio One Club. He has also had the honour of working alongside musical legends Wilson Pickett, Percy Sledge, Sam and Dave, Del Shannon and The Stylistics. Next week James will share the stage with comedian Mike Harris. Harris has been in the entertainment industry since 1967 and toured the world as a comic and actor.

He has also hosted several television programs and supported international artists such as Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Cilla Black, Tom Jones and Vera Lynn. Harris and James will appear during a free performance in the Lakeview Lounge from 11am.
