POPULAR cabaret performer Maureen Elkner will pay tribute to the white woman of soul Dusty Springfield at Belmont 16 Footers Sailing Club next week.
Elkner has spent her career on television, stage, in movies and cabaret.
She played various roles in A Country Practice, and had guest spots on Number 96, Alvin Purple, Hey Hey It's Saturday and The Midday Show on several occasions.
She has also played many theatrical roles for a variety of companies including Jesus Christ Superstar, Rocky Horror Show and Edith Piaf. The tribute show on Wednesday, May 16, starting at 11am will feature all the Dusty Springfield classics including Silver Threads and Golden Needles, I Close My Eyes and Count To Ten, Wishin' and Hopin', Little By Little and Son of A Preacher Man, to name a few.
The concert is free.
