Radiators Still Rocking On

Who: The Radiators
Where: Maitland City Bowling Club
When: Saturday May 5, 2001

An institution in Australian pub rock, The Radiators are out to let everyone know that good, sweaty rock mayhem never dies.

The boys will play at Juice nightclub at the Maitland City Bowling Club on Saturday night.

The Radiators have played almost 3000 shows over the past 22 years and are still grinding it out across Australia's pubs.

Golden moments are virtually assured with tracks such as their hits No Tragedy, Comin' Home and Life's A Gamble. But their most famous song would have to be, Gimme Head. 'That song has haunted us for the past 10 years,' Geoff Turner said.

'It only took about five minutes to write and was meant as a light-hearted live piece, but now we all have a love-hate relationship with it.

'Every time we try to drop it from our live set, we cop so much flak that it's just easier to give them what they want to hear.'

Recently they have played at the benefit concerts for cancer-stricken rock singer Ted Mulry in Sydney with many other seminal rockers.
