YOU would have been crazy to venture out in last Sunday's deluge, but that's just what fans of funky Stomp Bucket did.
The band, led by Mickey Barker, also of Mickey Barker and The Lounge Review, played at the Wickham Park Hotel in Islington.
The original-music faithful immersed themselves in the refuge provided by the pub's warm wood-fired atmosphere.
Stomp Bucket are acoustic roots specialists.
They play anything from delta and country blues to jug-band, novelty tunes and country swing.
They fuse this combination with celtic rhythms, contemporary music and an all-round good-time feel.
Stomp Bucket play at the Wickham Park every couple of Sundays from 5pm to 8pm.
They alternate with other interesting groups, including the swampy fusion band Birdy Num Num. Stomp Bucket play at the Wickham Park Hotel on Sunday.
Kids are more than welcome.
The band will also be there on May 30.
