Glitz of Broadway Brought to Town in Slick Stage Show

Who: Stephen Fisher-King
Where: Belmont 16ft Sailing Club
When: Saturday May 4, 2002

FEW Australians would ever have the chance to experience classic Broadway or the glitz and glam of a Las Vegas stage show.

But Stephen Fisher-King has changed that with his From Vegas To Broadway stage show.

He will give Novocastrians a chance to experience all the magic of the stage at Belmont 16ft Sailing Club on Saturday from 8.30pm.

A multiple MO and ACE Award winner, King has created an amazing show which incorporates two hours of dancing, special effects and music.

King is joined by The Fishnets,a group of four professional dancers who perform nine choreographed numbers.

The dancers are backed by a five-piece band and the show features classics from Tom Jones, The Righteous Brothers and Sammy Davis Jr to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Sondheim. 'Stephen Fisher-King and The Fishnets is professional and slick,' King said.

'We've woven a tapestry of song and dance that takes you from Broadway to Vegas, all in this two-hour show.'

King will also be joined by new vocal talent Anna Matos who is said to belt out a Broadway ballad better than Barbra Streisand. 'We've blended some old favourites with plenty of exciting new material and my dancers help bring it all to life.'

Tickets are on sale from the club now for $12.50.
