Geyer Returns for Hit Parade

Who: Renee Geyer
Where: Western Suburbs Leagues Club
When: Friday February 23, 2001

SMOKY-VOICED diva RENEE GEYER will return to Newcastle on Friday, February 23, to perform at Western Suburbs Leagues Club.

Geyer will 're-live all the wonderful hits of her career' and perform songs from her most recent SWEET LIFE collection.

In 1974, Geyer arrived on the Australian music scene with a cover of the JAMES BROWN song IT'S A MAN'S WORLD. She followed that first chart hit with a string of songs - HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, the hauntingly beautiful STARES AND WHISPERS and the equally irresistible SAY I LOVE YOU. In the mid-1980s, Geyer settled in America where she began writing and broadening her musical base to include R&B, jazz, country and Latin rhythms. TE
