Newcastle-based original rock band DIE CAST is forging ahead with a bold plan to dominate the Hunter music scene.
The four-piece group, playing at the Bank Hotel on Saturday night, has only been playing together for six months.
But according to its objectives, laid out in a publicity statement, the group is 'ready and willing to play whenever, wherever and as often as possible'.
Band members, TIM MARCHANT on vocals and guitar, NIC MARCHANT on bass, AL HOFER on drums and ANDREW JOHNSTONE on guitars, have a clear objective.
'Our musical focus is predominantly guitar-driven rock, however our sound is not limited to one specific category or genre,' the band said.
'The band's live set is powerful, energetic and will fulfil its promise as an adrenalin-charged crowd pleaser.'
The band is 'committed to becoming successful through hard work and dedication'.
Recording is high on the band's agenda for 2001.
