Guitarist-vocalist ROBBIE URQUHART only wants one thing in life - a number one hit song.
'Just one will do,' he said.
Urquhart, 20, has been building a reputation for himself in the Hunter music scene for the past six years.
Performing this Saturday night at Wallsend Bowling Club, Urquhart has his sights set on a full-time musical career.
Performing mostly rock and roll covers from the 1950s and 1960s as a soloist, the performer says his main inspirations have been CHUCK BERRY, ELVIS PRESLEY and JOHNNY O'KEEFE. It was songs by those artists, including SHE'S MY BABY, JAILHOUSE ROCK and JOHNNY B GOODE, that Urquhart chose to perform as a feature soloist in STARSTRUCK in 1997 and 1998.
The talented multi-instrumentalist, who sings and plays the piano, classical guitar and trombone, studies music teaching at the University of Newcastle.
