HOTELS and clubs around the region are being dared to take part in the Club Challenge. The challenge has been designed to raise money for children suffering from cancer in the John Hunter Children's Hospital. A trial for the challenge at The Great Northern Hotel raised more than $450 during one bucket collection on a Wednesday night.
Organisers are hoping that at least 20 hotels and clubs will participate in the challenge to raise money for the cause.
The bucket made its return to the Great Northern Hotel last Wednesday and achieved a similar result.
Organisers believe that if venues participate in the challenge every day over a period of two weeks, the challenge will raise thousands of dollars from generous punters.
The challenge was trialled in Queensland in 25 clubs in one day and had phenomenal results.
