NEWCASTLE lead singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist Elissa Elvidge has always taken her music seriously.
So much so that when her band Limen 10 parted in July this year she decided to embark on a solo career.
Elvidge has been working on fresh material and hopes to start a new band.
Hunter audiences will get a taste of her style when she performs as part of the free Public Works festival taking place at Newcastle Foreshore this Sunday.
Limen 10 recorded a track on a compilation CD called Smoke Stack. made by the Community Arts Centre.
The festival will showcase a range of Hunter talent emerging in the music scene.
Performances will be held on two stages with entertainment running from 10am until 7pm.
Stage one will feature live local bands while stage two will have electronic music artists.
