NEWCASTLE University's Festival Club will rock 150 lucky punters on Saturday with Soulphuric. Club president Sam Carroll, aka DJ 5am, said the club would turn JC's on Hunter St into a 'pulsating mirage of friendly people and fat tunes'.
'DJs have been specially selected for their ability move the feet and spirits of a crowd,' he said.
A carefully selected sound and lighting rig would also be installed for the one-off event.
Performing on the night will be DJ 5am himself and UK DJ, Parker, who boasts a proud reputation for rocking dance floors all over the globe.
Also playing on the night will be Central Coast DJ Richy Valenz, as well as Kato and Auxilary. In 2001, The Festival Club plans to hold a different underground style event each month.
Happy hour is between 10pm and 11pm.
The cover charge will be $8 and a recovery has been organised at a secret location.
TE has five Soulphuric Packs, with a double pass and a CD each, plus 20 Festival Club memberships (University students only) to give away.
Enter online at www.nnp.com.au or send an envelope to Soulphuric Giveaway with your name, address and phone number on the back to PO Box 615, Newcastle, 2300. Entries close noon Friday.
