Get an Earfull of Local Talent

AN international standard performance by local talent is promised by the promoters of a live all-ages gig at the Newcastle PCYC, Broadmeadow on Saturday, April 21.

Big Apache, the promoters of Dogbite 97, 98 and 99, in association with the J Factory and the Hunter Music Co-operative (HMC), will present the all-ages concert and say it will showcase a diverse and brilliant range of talent.

It will be called Earfull and Big Apache hope it will be the first in a line of annual events.

The date has been set to coincide with the Easter school holidays and will run from 4pm until 10.45pm.

Already confirmed are ChinChen who will officially launch their debut album Relax at the event.

ChinChen were the invited guests of the iconic Hard Ons at Sydney University last week.

On April 20 they will play at The Northern Star the night before they headline Earfull.

ChinChen have also been picked up by one of Australia's foremost booking agencies The Premier Artists who look after 28 Days, Bodyjar, Shihad and Magic Dirt. Charlestown punkers and Reign Record stablemates with ChinChen the Creeping Jesus will also perform short and sharp tracks from their debut self-titled release.

Other local bands confirmed on the bill are Enertia, Draw The Line, Head Poppin' Fatness, Star Park, Operation Lager and Fun Q. TE has two Earfull Packs, which will include CDs, T-shirts and various other merchandise from bands performing at Earfull.
