Who: Superjesus

Adelaide rockers THE SUPERJESUS will be flying close to Newcastle during the group's national album tour, but at this stage the band only plans to touch down at the Central Coast.

Playing on Saturday, November 11, at Mingara Recreation Club, the group has taken to the skies with a TRIPLE J national tour to promote album number two JET AGE. The first single GRAVITY contains two previously unreleased B-sides EVERYBODY CALLS ME LONELY and MISS THIS. Since signing with EAST WEST RECORDS in July 1996, The Superjesus has built a reputation as one of the best band's on the Australian music scene.

In 1997, the AUSTRALIAN RECORD INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION acknowledged the band by handing out two ARIA awards for Best New Talent and Best Debut Single (SHUT MY EYES). Then in 1998 the band received an award for Best Australian Rock Release (SUMO). JET AGE was tracked at Festival Studios during April and May this year, and produced by ED BULLER (PSYCHEDELIC FURS), who has also produced SUEDE and ALEX LLOYD.
