SPORTING organisations sponsored by the Mayfield Sport and Recreation Club will line up for a Sportsmans Dinner on Saturday, November 25.
Country duo RAZOO, featuring BRUCE MCCUMSTIE and DALE STEVANS, and delightful cabaret vocalist DONNA CAMPBELL will perform for members of the baseball, golf, snooker, darts and rugby union clubs that the Crebert St club supports.
There are 120 tickets on sale at $20 a head. Dinner begins at 7pm.
COUNTRY DUO: ROCK and country duo DOUBLE IMPACT, playing on Friday night at West Wallsend Workers Club, features guitarist vocalist JULIA STARR and bass player/guitarist MARK WHITE.
The Central Coast-based duo will take to the stage from 8.30pm with Starr on lead vocals.
Starr has released two albums TOKENS OF LOVE and MOMENTS OF BRILLIANCE, and was nominated for a Golden Guitar award in 1996 for her video CLANCY.
As a soloist she has supported GINA JEFFREYS, BECCY COLE and COLIN BUCHANAN. CLUB REVAMP: WINDALE Gateshead Bowling Club has recently completed $1.8million in renovations and will soon embark on a television campaign to promote the club's new bistro and functions area. This Friday night country trio WILD HEART will perform from 7.30pm. The club features entertainment every Friday night.
Next weekend TRUDY LEE will perform on Friday, December 1, and on Saturday, December 2, the club will host its annual CHILDRENS CHRISTMAS PARTY featuring a jumping castle, a merry-go-round and bags of lollies for the children of parents who are club members.
