WITH Thursday night gigs at the University over for the year, a team of DJs hopes to attract students into the CBD earlier on Thursday with some regular electronic dance parties.
FREQ:CITY, free on Thursday night at the CBD, is a new effort from the MAGNETIC ATTRACTIONS team of SAM CARROLL and DAN SCRATCH. Tomorrow night Carroll hopes to 'create a bit of a vibe' for Uni students from 9pm until late, which may become a weekly event depending on the turnout.
Deejays AIFFHEAD and DEKODA will open the night, followed by NICK CARR with some 'hip hop' and 'juggling'. More 'ambient house' music will follow courtesy of RICK N. NEOTOKE will play a 'light funky set', SAM C some 'funky house' and SCOTTY B some 'break beats', before AUXILIARY (Dan Scratch) closes with a 'big beat set'. SPINSTER WARES and ABACUS SELECTIONS will sponsor clothing and music giveaways on the night. TE
