JAZZ-fusion group THE CHRIS REYNOLDS TRIO, playing tomorrow night at THE DUNGEON, in the Adamstown Uniting Church Hall, is a versatile jazz outfit. Playing music from sensitive ballads to jazz fusion in the style of JOHN SCHOFIELD, to high-powered Latin jazz, the trio infects the audience with its energy and enthusiasm. In demand guitarist Reynolds has performed with MARCIA HINES, ADAM BRAND, PETER CUPPLES, RICKY MAY and BOB BERTLES, in the rock field. Reynolds writes the trio's original compositions. Reynolds is joined by bass player ANDREW WALLACE (FISH FRY, POW WOW) and NICK CECIRE (FISH FRY, POW WOW). VIDEO LAUNCH: GUITAR virtuoso BRUCE MATHISKE will launch his video LIVE 2000, on Thursday, November 9, at The Dungeon. The video contains footage taken at the Conservatorium of Music earlier this year and at last year's Edinburgh Festival.
GUITAR GLORY: MARK your calendars for Friday, November 10, at the Northern Star Hotel, in anticipation of a sublime double header featuring Brisbane pop country act FOUR HORSE TOWN and ACRE, a group described by some as 'PINK FLOYD meets NEIL YOUNG'. Acre was formed in Byron Bay, as a collaboration between producers CHRISTIAN PYLE and Byron Bay engineer ANTHONY LYCENKO (RESIN DOGS, GEORGE and CHENLAB).
