NEWCASTLE rockers FUNNEL WEB have emerged from the recording studio with some songs which jump right off the CD player.
Playing tomorrow night at the Forest Inn in Sydney and this Friday night at the Hunter On Hunter, the group has produced a strong batch of songs for its debut CD.
The band is lead singer BRUCE AHAMNOS, bass player JOHN KABALA, drummer MARK BRAMBLE and guitarist DAVE VENAGLIA. Two new tracks are reminiscent of THE BLACK CROWES or REEF, mixing acoustic with electric guitars over a bed of swirling organs.
The production of SIMON TONKS from SONY MUSIC STUDIOS is superb, and is certain to get the band airplay.
On Friday, May 12, the band will perform at the Maroubra Junction Hotel with Sydney's FATIGUE. On Sunday, May 14, Funnel Web will run a bus to The Brittania Hotel in Sydney for an afternoon show.
