CELTIC rock band MUNSTER CLOAK has chosen St Patrick's Day, on Friday at The Kent Hotel, to launch its debut CD BETWEEN A ROCK AND A CELTIC PLACE. Produced in Newcastle at KEYTONE STUDIOS by TONY HEADS, the finished product is a resounding success for the band and an excellent indication of how the band sounds live.

The choice of songs is particularly commendable, with a broad mix likely to appeal to traditionalists and lovers of good pop music with a Celtic bent.

Traditional songs range from a haunting instrumental version of SHE MOVED THROUGH THE FAIR to more upbeat numbers like DICK'S PIG and DRUNKEN SAILOR that will have you up and jigging.

Some of the non-Celtic pop songs such as SPIDER STACEY'S TUESDAY MORNING and the traditional STAR OF THE COUNTY DOWN as arranged by VAN MORRISON and THE CHIEFTAINS, are deserving of mainstream air play. TE
