Who: The Good

When: Friday January 21, 2000

SINGER and bass player HEATHER BARNES has joined rock'n'roll band THE GOOD, playing this Friday night at the Swansea Hotel.

Formed in December, 1998, The Good perform 'rock'n'roll from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s', according to the band's drummer DEAN GEARING. 'We're huge BEATLES fans, so we do plenty of those,' he said.

'We also do TAXI RIDE, BON JOVI and THE POLICE, so that pretty much covers a wide range of it.'

Barnes, formerly of SILENT SCREAM, joins guitarist and backing vocalist REUBEN ANDREW and keyboard player, guitarist and vocalist GARETH HUDSON. Hudson is the band's lead vocalist, but the group is working towards having Barnes share the lead vocal duties. Gearing and Hudson were formerly members of THE HEARTFELT RODNEYS. Next week the group will perform at the Town Hall Hotel on Friday, January 28, and the Royal Inn Hotel, on Saturday, January 29.

In February, The Good will begin a weekly residency at the Royal Inn.
