Where: Cardiff Panthers
When: Saturday February 12, 2000

FOR the past four years MELISSA FREEMAN and her dad MICK FREEMAN have spent New Year's Eve entertaining audiences around Newcastle's hotels, clubs and private parties.

Mick, playing solo this Friday at the Shaft Tavern, says performing with his daughter in the POWER OF TWO duo, has been the most enjoyable time of his 20-year career.

Next week the duo will perform at Cardiff Workers Club, on Saturday, February 12, where Melissa brings harmonies and lead female vocals to Mick's usual set.

'We play a real cross section, right through from THE EAGLES, TALKING HEADS, MATCHBOX 20, DIESEL, THE BEATLES, GARY MOORE, BRYAN ADAMS and CHRIS REA,' he said.

'With Melissa we can do FLEETWOOD MAC, CHERYL CROW, ALANIS MORRISSETTE, SHANIA TWAIN and all the popular female artists.'

Melissa is studying for a double degree in music and teaching, teaches singing and piano, and teaches drama and singing at the AUSTRALIAN DANCE & TALENT SCHOOL in Cardiff.

Mick has performed in bands and duos 'since Melissa was a baby' and began performing with his 21-year-old daughter back when she was 18.

This year the duo will continue to perform in and around Newcastle, and the Central Coast, at both clubs and pubs, highlighting the duo's versatility. TE
