FOR 'extraterrestrials', they're certainly easier on the eye than those DALEKS. In the past 12 months or so, MOTHERFUNK has lived among us, 'rehearsing for entry into a strange new cosmos' by performing gigs around the Hunter's pubs and clubs (as if our pubs and clubs aren't strange enough!)
Playing at the Grand Hotel this Saturday night, these 'funky freedom fighters' were apparently 'expelled from their monotone planet' and remain here to sate our appreciative ears.
The group also performs fortnightly at The Casbah City Hotel, performing again next week on Friday, April 14.
One planet's loss is our gain, meaning we get to have close encounters with 'funk faves' from the 1970s to the 1990s.
Ask to be taken to their leader, MEAGHAN MURPHY, who will captivate you with her soulful acrobatic vocals and draw you into her hypnotic performance. TE
