Beefed-up Balladeers

IF ever Newcastle has produced a funnier bunch of balladeers than THE AUSTRALIAN BEEF WEEK SHOW then you should demand to meet them.

This Friday night do yourself a favour and catch them both nights, first on Friday at the Lass O'Gowrie and again on Saturday night at The Crown & Anchor Hotel.

Beef Week lives up to the standard of THE MUSICAL FLAGS (who went on to become THE CASTANET CLUB and produced MAYNARD, SANDMAN, SHIRLEY and DARREN PURVIS). The Beef Week humour is more visually subtle than the on-stage riot of The Castanets, but their CD titled THE RUSSIAN LUNCH AFFAIR will have you in stitches.
