THIS time it's not just a rumour - HENRY ROLLINS is coming to the Newcastle Civic Theatre on Saturday, November 6, and just you try and stop him!
There was a rumour earlier this year, when Hank made a couple of spoken word appearances in Sydney during May and June, that Rollins would be coming to Newcastle.
But they turned out to be just that, rumours.
This time around the big fella, who has fronted groups such as BLACK FLAG and his own ROLLINS BAND, is touring 'larger regional cities and outlying areas', performing spoken word shows.
As heard on his CD A BOXED LIFE through UNIVERSAL MUSIC Rollins is funny, articulate and opinionated.
The tattooed front man, built like a brick outhouse, has enough anecdotes from 20 years in rock and roll and minimum wage jobs to keep audiences entertained for 2 hours.
Most recently Rollins has been doing television voice over work for GENERAL MOTORS and as MAD STAN in the Saturday morning BATMAN cartoons.
Rollins has also reformed the ROLLINS BAND, which has been touring the United States, breaking in new songs for an album due out in January. TE
