FINE food, flowing Tyrrells wines and the fabulous tradition of consort singing could be yours this Sunday at the Civic Theatre Brasserie for only $100 a head.
Spanning four centuries of vocal tradition THE SONG COMPANY, under the musical direction of ROLAND PEELMAN, will perform in a style that was first developed for the stately homes and palaces of England in the 17th century.
Sunday's concert will begin at 1pm, with a five-course dinner prepared by the brasserie's chef JOHN AGNEW, at the helm, preparing 'casual contemporary cuisine'.
The popular tunes of The Song Company provide reference to the tradition of consort singing, but 'grow through mostly jazzy, close-harmony settings'. TE
